Arabia Weather - In a rare weather phenomenon during the peak of the summer months, polar winds reached the North Atlantic Ocean, causing a strong storm accompanied by heavy rain and snow. According to Arab Weather experts, the northern regions of the Atlantic Ocean were affected by a sharp drop in temperatures to negative levels at the peak of the summer months.
In detail, a very cold, polar air mass rushed towards the North Atlantic Ocean, and due to the sharp thermal differences between the water surface temperature and the extreme cold of the air mass, a strong storm was formed consisting of a closed upper system (cut off) accompanied by a cold air front. The storm causes strong winds and strong waves, in addition to very heavy rainfall and snowfall over high mountain peaks, especially in Iceland. Temperatures also dropped below zero degrees Celsius in several areas amidst extremely cold conditions.
According to the latest outputs received by the Arab Regional Weather Centre, it is expected, God willing, that the storm will move towards northern Europe, especially Ireland and Britain, carrying heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds, which will raise the risk of torrents and floods.
It is expected, God willing, that more storms will form in the coming period in the North Atlantic Ocean as a result of the continued flow of cold air masses, which will cause the continued frequency of storms affecting northern Europe.
God knows.
